da betsul: Wolves are set to offer defender Willy Boly a new contract amid interest in his signature, per The Daily Mail.
What’s the word?
Wolves are said to be aware of interest in Boly from rival clubs from England and in Europe, though they are not named in the report.
Nevertheless, Wolves are hoping to tie the Frenchman down to fresh terms as his current deal expires at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Boly has made 94 appearances for Wolves, having made an initial loan move while the club were in the Championship. Following their promotion to the Premier League, he made the move permanent.
Top priority
Boly has been an intrinsic part of Wolves’ rise to prominence in recent seasons.
He has missed just one Premier League game this season – the 5-2 loss to Chelsea, through suspension – and has thus far played 90 minutes in every Europa League game, even scoring the winner against Besiktas.
It was a similar story in 2018/19 as Boly missed just two league games and both of those also came through suspension.
One has to say, then, that the 28-year-old is a key member of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Keeping him around is vitally important – Wolves should make his new contract a top priority.
