da spicy bet: [ad_pod ]
da luck: Mauricio Pochettino has built his career off getting the best out of young English talents, and the Tottenham boss can work his magic once more by signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
What’s the word?
It wouldn’t be an international break without the Loftus-Cheek debate, as it’s blatantly clear the youngster is too good to warm the bench at Chelsea.
The 22 year-old, who now has ten England caps to his name, could just be the perfect Moussa Dembele replacement in North London.
Very few players can match Dembele’s unique combination of physicality, durability and technique, and one of those few is the Chelsea starlet.
The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…
Best signing since Alli?
Pochettino has worked wonders for countless youngsters both with Southampton and Tottenham, but his best project is surely Dele Alli.
Alli joined from MK Dons as an energetic youngster with bags of untapped talent, and has transformed into one of the finest goalscoring midfielders in Europe.
While Loftus-Cheek is a few months older than the Tottenham ace, he is in a similar position as Alli was two years ago, in desperate need of a chance to shine on the biggest stage.
The big difference between the two is that Alli is a goalscorer while Loftus-Cheek is a creator, so pairing the two together behind Harry Kane could cause absolute carnage.
The Chelsea ace’s quick feet, vision and sheer power allow him to drive forward from midfield in a manner similar to Dembele, but then pick passes out in the final third, something the Belgian never quite mastered.
The 22 year-old has shown glimpses of his incredible talent in Chelsea’s youth system, and it’s high time he gets unleashed in a team good enough to truly harness his strengths.
So, Tottenham fans, do you think you could lure Loftus-Cheek away from Stamford Bridge? Is he a possible Dembele replacement? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
