da cassino online: It’s fair to say that Leeds United’s transfer business has been very hit and miss over the past couple of seasons.
da fezbet: Indeed, for every Ben White they unearth, who has already won the Fans’ Player of the Month this term, there is a flop signing such as Izzy Brown who only made two substitute appearances.
The Whites’ way of doing business is heavily centred around the work of Victor Orta, and Marcelo Bielsa’s recent comments show why that isn’t necessarily a good system.
What’s been said then?
In his pre-match press conference ahead of Leeds’ game against Sheffield Wednesday, the Argentine had a bit of a rant about Eddie Nketiah’s Arsenal recall.

“I don’t know the reason for Arsenal to decide that Eddie doesn’t continue with us but if the reason is that he didn’t play enough, nobody can guarantee to one player the quantity of minutes he’s going to have,” Bielsa said.
“We never said (that Nketiah would be guaranteed minutes) and we would never say this. Nketiah was a brilliant option for us and now we’re looking for one which needs to be very good – the same or better than Nketiah,” he continued.
Disparity with Orta
These comments are rather strange aren’t they?
Bielsa seems quite frustrated at the fact that Arsenal recalled the youngster, but they also hint at a potential disparity between the Argentine and Orta.
The 64-year-old says that nobody ever said that Nketiah was guaranteed minutes, but we know that the Director of Football made a Dragon’s Den style presentation to Arsenal on why Nketiah should join Leeds. With the Gunners recalling him at the first possible opportunity due to his lack of minutes, it’s hard to believe that Orta’s presentation didn’t at least mention potential game time.
Whether it was down to a lack of communication or if it was simply Orta’s signing, rather than Bielsa’s, the ideas that the Spaniard set out in that presentation weren’t implemented. Nketiah started just twice in the league before being recalled. Clearly something needs to improve.
In other news, Leeds fans have given up on signing one target after recent press conference comments.
