Reports in recent weeks have seen the likes of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and West Ham’s Issa Diop be linked with a move to Old Trafford and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils can pull off a move for either of them.
One defender under contract with United who did enjoy an impressive campaign was Axel Tuanzebe, who helped Aston Villa clinch promotion to the Premier League whilst on loan.
However, the Daily Mail claim Villa will launch a bid for the 21-year-old this summer and are very keen on making it a permanent deal; something that did not seem to go down well at all with United fans on Twitter.

Many supporters of the Manchester side were up in uproar over the suggestion that Tuanzebe could be sold this year whilst under-performing defenders like Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones would all still be at the club.
Some called the centre-back’s potential exit as a “catastrophic decision” and urged the club to give him a chance during pre-season to see if he can prove his worth and cement a place in the first-team.
