Jack Harrison has been one of Leeds’ better players this season.
The winger was chastised last year for his underperformance, but this year he’s been a different animal.
The Manchester City loanee has contributed to the second-most goals of any player in the United squad, and he’s been vital in the Whites’ promotion push.

Unfortunately, the 22-year-old is only at Elland Road on a temporary basis, but the Whites do have the option to make that permanent at the end of the season, and one Yorkshire Evening Post journalist believes that Leeds should make that move happen regardless of how the rest of the term pans out.
What’s been said then?
Joe Urquhart was talking about Helder Costa’s recent showings, and he ended up speaking about how similar he is to Harrison.
“He almost reminds me a little bit of Harrison last year, in the way that Bielsa stook by him and he’s now reaping the rewards of having him for almost two years,” Urquhart said (Inside Elland Road 17/2/20 27:00).
“I’ve got a lot of time for Harrison, I think he’s a great winger, and I think Leeds should sign him in the summer whether they go up or not.”
Spot on
It’s hard to disagree with the journalist on this view.
Jack Harrison has arguably been one of Leeds’ best players this season, contributing to 11 goals in 33 appearances, scoring five and assisting six, and signing him for a rumoured £8m would be an absolute snip in today’s market.
It’s easy to forget that Harrison is just 22 years old, and he still has a lot of room for growth – to be honest, it would be foolish for Leeds to pass up the opportunity to sign him for the reported fee doing the rounds.
Of course, financing that deal will be a bit difficult if they don’t go up, they’re currently cutting it fine in terms of FFP and they’re committed to spending £15m on Costa this summer, so it remains to be seen whether or not they can get this one done.
