da dobrowin: Porto striker Hulk has edged closer to a move to Chelsea after admitting that the European Champions are his preferred destination, according to The Daily Mail.
da prosport bet: Roman Abramovich sees the Brazilian striker as an ideal replacement for Didier Drogba whose move to China was finalised this morning.
Chelsea were thought to have hit a snag in their negotiations with the 25-year-old after reports suggested that Ligue 1 giants PSG were willing to offer a bumper £43 million for Hulk’s services. However, after announcing his preference to play in England, it seems that Stamford Bridge could be welcoming another new addition to their squad in due course.
“Chelsea are the current European champions and would please any player and I’m no exception. I’d be happy if the transfer happened.”
Hulk, who scored 21 goals for the ‘Portistas’ last season then added, “’I’ll have the club (Porto) in my heart no matter what happens this summer”.
Speculation has arisen from Portugal that Tottenham will announce their interest in Hulk should Andre Villas-Boas be appointed the new manager. However, the price tag that Porto have branded their star man with may be too expensive for the North London club.
Hulk could be Chelsea’s third signing of the summer having already acquired Eden Hazard from Lille and Marko Marin from Werder Bremen.
