The Irishman has, however, since distanced himself from the claims (via the Daily Mail):
“I haven’t heard about the story. I am preparing for a game on Wednesday and that is all I am concentrating on.”
That’s one move off the agenda, then. But, should Man United be looking at the 28-year-old heading towards the summer transfer window as a potential replacement for Antonio Valencia? Well, his stats suggest that he could be a decent option…
Coleman has been solid form for the Toffees in what has been and up and down season at Goodison Park, with his 34 tackles particularly impressive. On top of that, he’s made 25 take-ons, created eleven chances and netted four goals, showing that he has the ability to contribute to a Man United side that often enjoy plenty of possession.
