da prosport bet: As reported by The Daily Mirror, Jose Mourinho is keeping his fingers crossed that Manchester United can hold on to all of their current stars over the next few weeks, with the Chinese Super League transfer window still open.
What’s the story?
da betcris: The transfer window in Europe may be ‘slammed shut’, as some excitable people like to put it, and Jose Mourinho is hoping stars such as Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young will stay at the club until the summer.
The Mirror reports that both players have received mega-money bids from Asia over the last few weeks and that they could yet move there before February 28th, when the CSL transfer deadline is up.
The paper reckons that a £140m offer over three years is still on the table for Wayne Rooney should he wish to make the big move to China.
Keeping the squad together
Jose Mourinho has already let two first team competitors leave this window with Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay making their Old Trafford exits.
Having made no January signings of his own, it means that United can’t really afford to lose any more squad members, especially ones that have the quality possessed by the likes of Wayne Rooney.
His record-breaking last-minute equaliser against Stoke recently highlighted he still has what it takes to be a massive influence on this United season.
With Mourinho’s side fighting on four fronts in the closing stages of the season, it’s vital that he has a large pool of excellent players to choose from.
